Well, after three years and ten moneth, I'm fully regenerated. The only thing I've got to show for my absence? Just a couple of maybe real and maybe fanboy fan writing. Thanks to "AW" and "Rado"
AW writes, "A friend sent me this from an unknown website. I'm not sure if it is real, but I think it is. It was done by Larry and Andy Wachowski when they were given the opportunity to own the Batman universe. However, I believe this draft was rejected for an undisclosed reason.
Rado writes, ...some time ago, the script was leaked on an obscure German download site among many other strange, mostly obsolete things. Some Batman fans found out about it, and used it as a bait to lure people to their forum (the script was a 'reward' of sorts for joining).
I found the site it originated from, but it turned out the script (an .rtf file) was a real mess - I guess it was scanned ... which resulted in many wrongly interpreted words... most of all - almost unreadable layout, with many sections written in different font.
I had put the script through Final Draft and did my best to correct spelling where possible. I followed the 'Year One' project from the beginning and hope more people will become aware of it now, even though it's rather radical take on Batman.
Unfortunately, I can't say what draft it is, or even who should get the credit. I'm sure Frank Miller is responsible, since not only the script matches a review of his draft, but also the style of the script resembles Robocop 2 to an extent - but it's hard to say whether Darren Aronofsky (who was supposed to helm the picture) had any involment.
